"Children of Our Environments: US-Cuba Solidarity” with Calla Mairead Walsh.

Just returned from the historic US-Cuba Youth Friendship Meeting in Havana, Calla will discuss observing Cuban elections, learning from Cuban workers, building solidarity with Cuban youth, and seeing the impacts of the US blockade, as well as the significance of the Cuban Revolution in raising her own political consciousness and inspiring global resistance to imperialism.

• Calla Walsh is an 18-year-old student, organizer, and writer from Cambridge, MA and based in Montréal, Québec. She is a co-chair of the National Network on Cuba, a board member of Mass Peace Action, and a member of July26.org. She has been published in Mondoweiss, Multipolarista, The Irish Times, and Teen Vogue, and featured in The New York Times, Al Jazeera, CGTN, The Boston Globe, and more.
